Sri Lanka beat India by 138 runs in the Women's World Cup 2013.Sri Lanka qualify for the super six round while Hosts India got eliminated. Chasing a stiff target of 283, Indian women were bundled out for a meager score of 144 in 42.2 overs. This is the first time that the Sri Lankan women have beaten India in one-day internationals.
The result means England carry only two points through, the same number as West Indies, who finished ahead of India on run-rate.
Group B sides Australia, New Zealand and South Africa are the other three teams to advance.
By finishing bottom of Group A, India are set to take on Pakistan in a play-off to determine seventh and eighth place.
